Estimation Engineer

Job description / Role

- Communicate with other departments to ensure all documentation required is contained within the tender submission.
- Prepares construction budget by studying plans, updating specifications, identifying and projecting costs for each elevation.
- Evaluate offers to purchase by costing changes, additions, and site requirements.
- Obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials, identifying qualified subcontractors, negotiating price.
- Maintain cost keys and price masters by updating information.
- Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- Prepare draft tender documents to ensure all systems and components of the tender are included.
- Interpret & review system drawings to identify any difference to tender requirements and raise queries against specification.
- Construe and follow company tendering processes and procedures to ensure all aspects of tenders are met including relevant discipline codes and standards.
- Review the design outputs for compliance with contractual requirement.
- Gather opinion of the project team and fabrication team on the engineering details to prepare final controlled documents of tender.
- Assess the impact due to design changes and revision works due to client instructions.
- Ensure the project output meeting to the requirement of codes and specifications.
- Responsible for the filling of various tenders with all the formalities.
- Maintain quality service by following organization standards.
- Maintain continuity among corporate, division, and local work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

- Must have 5 years of work experience in the UAE
- 6 to 10 years of experience in execution works for steel construction.
- Exposure in steel fabrication and erection works.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- Self-principled and maintain the professional work ethics.
- Persuasive and enthusiastic in problem solving.
- Proactive player to lead and resolve the technical issues.
- Demanding character with onerous in dealing vexed sensitive situation.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Maintain transparency and impartial in judgment.
- Self-confident, poise and maintain high morale.
