Estimation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Estimation Engineer to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) projects by providing precise and timely cost estimations. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to analyze project requirements and develop comprehensive estimates that reflect the scope of work, materials, and labor needed for project completion. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with excellent analytical skills and a strong understanding of MEP systems and construction processes.

Responsibilities:
- Review project specifications, drawings, and scope of work to understand project requirements.
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for MEP projects, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to generate estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary data for estimations.
- Evaluate and analyze bid proposals from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of costs for various MEP components and systems.
- Utilize estimating software and tools to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of estimates.
- Participate in project meetings to discuss estimation processes and provide insights on cost implications.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities related to project costs and communicate these to management.
- Prepare and present detailed estimation reports and proposals to clients and stakeholders.

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cost estimation within the MEP sector.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, construction methods, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Candy, CostX, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Familiarity with local construction regulations and standards in UAE is preferred.
- Professional certification (e.g., Certified Estimator, or similar) is an advantage.

Salary:
AED 5,000 to 6,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
