Estimation Engineer

Job description / Role

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documents for high-rise and large-scale building projects.
• Review and analyze project drawings, specifications, and tender requirements.
• Conduct quantity take-offs for civil, structural, and architectural works.
• Evaluate material, labor, and equipment costs in line with current UAE market rates.
• Develop cost breakdowns, rate analyses, and pricing strategies for tenders.
• Prepare project budgets and assist in cost control during project execution.
• Coordinate with project managers, procurement, and subcontractors for accurate pricing and technical clarifications.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
• Support the contracts team in post-tender negotiations and clarifications.
• Analyze technical specifications and identify potential value engineering opportunities.
• Review addenda, change orders, and scope variations and update cost impacts accordingly.
• Prepare tender summaries, comparison sheets, and cost analysis reports for management review.
• Maintain a database of material, labor, and equipment rates for reference in future tenders.

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in estimation and tendering within the UAE construction industry.
• Proven experience with high-rise buildings, towers, or large commercial/residential projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE market rates, construction techniques, and local authority standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, Candy (CCS), and MS Project/Primavera.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with FIDIC and other international contract standards is an advantage.

Salary:
AED 10,000 to 20,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
