Estimation Engineer (CCS Candy)

Job description / Role

Our Regional Main Contracting client has a new requirement for a well experienced Estimation Engineer to join their team in Dubai, UAE. Successful candidates will have a proven background as an Estimator on mid rise and residential projects in the UAE working for a recognised contractor company. Only candidates experienced in CCS Candy software will be considered.

This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 3 Month Contract position as an outsource employed by J10 Consulting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for building and high-rise projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and tender documents to determine project scope and requirements.
• Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and cost breakdowns in compliance with project requirements.
• Source and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Assist in tendering processes, bid preparation, and submission.
• Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project budgets.
• Monitor market prices, construction trends, and material availability in the UAE.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure accurate pricing.
• Maintain a cost database for benchmarking and future project estimates

Estimator Experience:

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering
• 3+ years of experience, at least 1 year in a recognised contracting company in the UAE,
• Prior experience in mid rise residential projects would be advantageous
• CCS Candy experience is mandatory for this role
• Strong MS Office skills and experience with estimating tools and systems,
• Interpersonal and good communication skills in the areas of both written and verbal communication.
