Estimation Engineer /Submittal Engineer - Fire Alarm Systems

Job description / Role

Prepare Technical Submittals

Develop comprehensive submittals for ELV systems, ensuring all required data (technical specifications, product details, compliance certificates) is included for approval.

Review and Verify Compliance

Ensure submittals meet client specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., NFPA, IEC, UL).

Manage the Approval Process

Track the status of submittals, follow up on approvals, and provide timely responses to comments or revisions.

Maintain Records

Organize and maintain a comprehensive log of all submittals, approvals, and revisions, ensuring clear documentation and traceability.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: At least 2 to 3 years of experience in ELV systems with a focus on submittal preparation, procurement, and project coordination.
• Technical Expertise: Proficient in systems such as fire alarms integrated with voice evacuation systems, PAVA, VESDA system, emergency lighting systems such as central battery and addressable self-contained emergency lighting systems, DTA systems.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiar with industry standards (e.g., NFPA, IEC, UL) and local authority regulations for fire and life safety systems.
• Software Skills: MS Word, PowerPoint, MS Excel.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
