Job description / Role
Our client, a leading luxury furniture retail company, is seeking to recruit an Estimator/ Sales Administrator with FF&E background.
Main Mission and Purpose:
Prepares cost estimates of products or projects and prepares quotations and proposals in order to respond to the clients’ requests and needs, as well as to aid the company in bidding or in supporting senior management in taking the appropriate decisions. Provide recommendations on alternative products and costing options of a product or a project, and provide support to the sales team in costing issues while ensuring efficient sales administration.
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Cost and price estimation:
• Client’s requirements: By interacting with the sales team and clients, he/she understands the client’s requirements and product or project specifications
• Analysis of data and information: Analyzes all data and information which can impact the cost and the price, analyzes technical data, designs and preliminary specifications
• Interaction with various departments: Consult with the other departments, and with external vendors to discuss and formulate accurate estimates.
Quotations and proposals for the client: On the basis of estimates, he/she prepares clients’ quotations and proposals and delivers them to the sales department and senior management for further considerations and approval
Project management:
• Prepares cost and expenditure statements during the duration of the project and provide recommendations to keep cost under control
• Adjust and optimize the terms and conditions of each project
• Follow up with the costing and pricing of projects in the case of tenders
Sales Administration: Manages and follows-up with all activities related to sales administration, mainly:
• Follows-up with the sales department on the status of the offers and quotations, and adjusts prices accordingly and if needed
• Manages and updates the data management system and all sources of information related to costing and pricing
• Ensures the appropriate liaison between the sales department and the other department, with regard to matters related to costing, pricing, quotations
Requirements
EDUCATION required:
Bachelor degree, ideally with Design or technical drawing background
EXPERIENCE required:
proven experience, minimum 5 years, in a similar role in FF&E
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:
Excellent knowledge of IT tools, mainly Office. Capability to read and analyze interior and technical designs. Solid knowledge of cost analysis and cost management in a product and project environment. Solid knowledge of English
