Evacuation Slide Technician

Job description / Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a large aerospace company located in the United Arab Emirates. We are looking for an experienced Evacuation Technician professional with a proven track record in Aircraft safety.

Responsibilities

- Perform maintenance of aircraft component, inspection/repair and trouble shouting component after testing, issue non conformance report, develop maintenance instruction, prepare shop ability and perform technician’s tasks as instructed by manager within his/her qualification scope and quality system requirements
- Must be familiar with one of the GCAA CAR /EASA / FAA CFR PART145 regulatory requirements. .
- Work with front end sales administration and meet the requirements.
- Ensure and drive application of lean principals within the organization.
- Knowledge of Evacuation Slide/RAFT

Requirements

- Slide Shop (Evacuation Systems): Inflatable/Reservoir/ Pack boards Inspection Testing Assembly and Overhaul / Modification
- Hands on Experience and worked on Disassembly, Inspection, Testing and Performing folding and packaging of Slides and rafts
- Knowledgeable of safety related to reservoirs and DOT specifications
- Perform Testing and final check of the inflatable system
- Perform inflatable checks related to Porosity, Leak test and Harness inspection
- Review work order and maintenance instruction
- Knowledge of Safety while testing the inflation system
- Familiar with the use of packing fixtures, cooling and heating oven functions
- Use and Operate the appropriate tools, equipment
- Disassembly and Assembly Component like Aspirators and Packboards
- Recording & claiming the work performed
- Calibration and Preventive maintenance needs for key equipments
