Event Manager

Job description / Role

Charterhouse is working exclusively with a professional services organisation which produce a range of industry related technical conferences and seminars across the GCC. Our client is looking for a highly organised and experienced professional to join the team as Event Manager, who will proactively manage the planning and execution of all events.

The main purpose of this role will be to develop and deliver the annual events calendar, which includes technical program development, budgeting, registrations, venue arrangements, in addition to on-site management of the events. This role will work closely with the Managing Director and will take overall accountability for the production of high-quality B2B events which includes seminars, gala dinners, virtual conferences and workshops.

As an additional responsibility, the Event Manager will also handle all invoicing of suppliers and will keep up to date and accurate records of all expenditure related to events. This is a standalone role which will involve both strategic planning and delivery, therefore the successful candidate should be highly organised, an excellent multi tasker and self-motivated with exceptional attention to detail. Previous experience in supplier invoicing and using excel spreadsheets is considered highly beneficial.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have at least 4 years previous experience as an Event Manager with a strong administration background and eye for detail. The ideal candidate should already be residing in Dubai. Frequent international travel may be required in line with company needs.

You must be a fluent English speaker with outstanding communication and organisational skills. The role will require working under your own initiative, therefore, a motivated and proactive attitude is essential.
