Job description / Role
• Must have ability to work multiple events with multiple themes & pricing strategies.
• Understand the unique needs of different types of events, such as corporate events and social events.
• Create and manage all client data through our database.
• Work with clients to plan and coordinate details of events.
• Coordinate all events focusing on customer needs, logistics and operational capabilities, assessing client needs and requirements, and providing timely and effective solutions while staying on budget.
• Ensure successful event execution by our operations team.
• Work directly with catering, vendors and event services staff to ensure all event logistics and catering options/menus are presented to the customer accurately and effectively.
• Be present at events to coordinate with client, catering staff, facility operations and culinary staff.
• Booking of event by phone, mail, walk-in.
• Close cooperation with the sales department.
• Attend planned events, other events as determined by the Sales Manager.
• Maintain and expand the existing database.
• Manage relationship with clients throughout the event planning process and beyond.
• Attend events in order to build customer relationships, content knowledge and cross sell future events.
• Work with conference manager to help with the coordination and implementation of logistics planning in the lead up to events.
• Maximizes revenues to meet and exceed sales goals and budgets through the sale.
• Expand the vendors & suppliers data base (hotels, press houses, supplies, gifts, etc.).
• Minimize the spendings invoice & negotiate for the best prices.
• Maintain excellent relation with the clients & the suppliers for long term business.
• Assist other sales professionals by being the stations expert in new event business generation.
Requirements:
• Computer literacy and familiarity with Salesforce or other systems.
• Must have exceptional customer service and organizational skills and a flexible schedule based on the needs of the business, including some nights and weekends.
• Prefer hotel related experience.
• Driving license is a plus.
• Previous event planning, hotel or related service required.
• Understanding and aptitude for the Information Technology Industry.
• Work experience as Event Sales/Planning Executive in Event management industry.
• Strong follow-up skills, the ability to work on multiple projects, and attention to detail.
• Demonstrates a high sense of urgency.
• Help facilitate inter-department (sales, accounting, etc.) communication and serve as a liaison to client, event venue, promoter and/or 3rd party partners.
Salary:
AED
2,500 to 3,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
