Executive Chef

The Executive Chef manages and drives the Kitchen and Stewarding operations in a highly efficient, effective and compliant manner while being a trusted leader and mentor to the team and focusing constantly on exceeding our guests' high expectations and generating maximum profit.

Emerald Palace Kempinski Dubai

Inspired by palaces of Continental Europe, Emerald Palace Kempinski Dubai is a five-star luxury beach resort dedicated to the finest elements of life. Guests are welcome to immerse in an elegantly curated stay, dining and leisure experiences at this landmark destination on Palm Jumeirah, and discover Dubai's iconic palace by the sea.With its opening in 2018, the hotel's classical design will complement the Kempinski Hotel & Residences Palm Jumeirah, which has been developed in the same architectural style and is located on the adjacent plot.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage all functions of the Food Production and Stewarding operations to achieve the optimum departmental profit.
- Work closely with the Director of Food & Beverage with regards to the annual budget plan preparation and implementation
- Participate in the creation and successful implementation of the hotel's revenue plan and marketing programs.
- Responsible for departmental Profit & Loss management.
- Train, guide and mentor team members, ensuring a highly engaged working environment at all times.

Requirements

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

- Gastronomic education certificate or equivalent (apprenticeship/diploma/BA)
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar management role, preferably in the luxury hospitality environment.
- International experience is preferred
- Banqueting experience is preferred
- English - excellent oral and written skills
- Additional language(s) - beneficial
- Outstanding knowledge of food safety regulations
- Passionate for Food & Beverage
- Ability to effectively manage a team
- Ability to work independently, thrive under pressure in challenging circumstances and come up with proactive, rational solutions
- Ability to establish and retain effective working relationships with colleagues and clients / vendors
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Be knowledgeable of sales, marketing & promotional practices
- Ability to operate computer and office equipment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
