Job description / Role
You will collaborate closely with various organisations to develop a comprehensive strategy for Dubai's media and entertainment industry to meet exciting and challenging objectives.

Description
Lead the annual strategy development process, including the following activities:
* Assess the strengths, weaknesses and current competitive position of Dubai's media and entertainment industry including value-chain analysis, benchmarking of other cities that have successfully created media and entertainment clusters, analysis of requirements of local/global media and entertainment players.
* Develop clear strategic framework that translates the vision and mission into strategic objectives and priority themes.
* Develop clear implementation plan including resourcing requirements and risk analysis
* Define, prioritise and cascade strategic key performance indicators (KPIs)
Identify and prioritise strategic initiatives that support the objectives, including:
* Recommend /advocate for changes to federal, local and Free Zone regulation and policy in order to attract and retain companies and institutions working in the field of media and entertainment to the Emirate
* Support talent pool development by defining initiatives to increase the size and skills of media and entertainment talent across Dubai
* Coordinate on education outreach programs
* Foster entrepreneurship and innovation in the media and entertainment industry
* Foster dynamic industry ecosystems, including collaboration/networking amongst players, fostering linkage between academia, government and the private sector
Ensure that the strategy for the media and entertainment industry is fully incorporated and aligned with the broader organisational strategy for developing Dubai's creative industries
Work with the corporate research team and/or external research agencies to provide high-quality strategic research, intelligence and insights on Dubai's media and entertainment industry e.g. annual industry trend reports, white papers on specific topics, measurement of economic contribution of design industry
Contribute as an active member of strategy and policy team including participation in weekly team meetings, sharing best practice, collaborating with other team members
Work in partnership with other bodies to deliver support to the media and entertainment industry.

Requirements
* Advanced degree, preferably MBA from a top-tier institution, or in the liberal arts from a reputed university.
* At least 10 years experience working in a media organisation; or at least 10 years experience working in a reputed consulting firm's media and entertainment practice.
* Experience in industry development projects focused on media sector.
