Job description / Role
Position objective
The position is responsible to provide support to the internal brand team for all their inbound and outbound shipments and also to ensure that the shipments are customs cleared and delivered on time to the warehouse and the stores using the most cost-effective means.
Key responsibilities
- Establishing contact with the supplier/agent for cargo pick up post aligning with the brand team.
- Coordinate with freight forwarder to arrange collection for import and re-export and follow up till goods delivery at the warehouse/stores.
- Invite freight quotes from various service providers and prepare comparisons for adhoc shipments.
- Facilitate the movement of stocks (inbound and outbound) using the most cost-efficient means of transport, at the earliest possible lead time.
- Generate shipping documents for outbound shipments to GCC and local exports to UAE.
- Validate all customs BOE and freight invoices and handover to finance for payment process in a timely manner so that shipments are not impacted.
- Process BOE and making customs duty payments for all inbound and outbound shipments.
