Job Description

As the Executive Pastry Chef of our prestigious luxury property, you will lead the pastry and bakery team in crafting world-class desserts, breads, and confections that reflect the highest standards of creativity, quality, and presentation. You will oversee all aspects of pastry operations, from concept to execution, ensuring consistency across restaurants, banquets, and in-room dining experiences. This role demands visionary leadership, culinary finesse, and a commitment to excellence.

  • Lead and manage the daily operations of the pastry kitchen including production, quality control, and menu planning.
  • Develop innovative dessert menus in collaboration with the Executive Chef, ensuring alignment with brand identity and guest expectations.
  • Oversee the creation of signature pastries and showpieces for events, VIP amenities, and specialty occasions.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of hygiene, safety, and food handling as per HACCP and local health regulations.
  • Mentor, train, and inspire a team of pastry chefs, bakers, and commis, fostering a culture of learning, creativity, and accountability.
  • Control costs by managing inventory, minimizing waste, and optimizing labor efficiency.
  • Collaborate with F&B, events, and marketing teams for special promotions, seasonal offerings, and guest experiences.
  • Stay ahead of culinary trends and techniques to consistently introduce fresh concepts and elevate the guest experience.

Desired Skill & Expertise

  • Proven experience as an Executive Pastry Chef or Senior Pastry Chef in a luxury hotel or resort.
  • Formal culinary education, preferably with specialization in Pastry Arts.
  • Exceptional knowledge of classical and contemporary pastry techniques, including sugar and chocolate artistry.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment.
  • Passionate about quality, aesthetics, and guest satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Proficient in kitchen management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
