Job description

• Greet guests and take drink orders in a professional and timely manner.
• Take food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen or bar staff.
• Assist the bartender in preparing cocktails, wine, and beer to guests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking supplies and cleaning glassware.
• Engage with guests, provide recommendations, and create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
• Process payments and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Collaborate with other hotel staff to ensure excellent service and guest satisfaction.
• Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new drink recipes, menu changes, and service standards.
• Collaborate with the kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage orders for guests.
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies and keeping track of stock levels.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including cleaning equipment and restocking supplies as needed.
• Participate in promotional events or special themed nights to attract guests and increase revenue.
• Offer recommendations for food and drink pairings to enhance the overall dining experience for guests.
• Provide support and assistance to other hotel staff members during busy periods or special events.
• Build relationships with regular guests and create a personalized experience to encourage repeat visits and loyalty.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of different types of beverages, cocktail recipes, and mixology techniques in a hotel or hospitality setting is preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing and serving drinks.
• Understanding of responsible alcohol service practices and compliance with regulations.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Certification in bartending or alcohol serving is an advantage.
