Employment: Full Time

DIVISION /FUNCTION: Cheese Production and Management
DEPARTMENT: Wildlife and Conservation Management Services
ORGANIZATION: Barari Natural Resources, UAE

REPORTING STRUCTURE:
Reports to: Farm Manager
Direct Supervision: All Cheese production employees on shift

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
To ensure production schedules are met, quality standards are achieved, plant/factory is maintained, and employees are properly trained and working in a safe manner and environment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To assure that production yields and efficiencies are met as defined by budgetary and corporate standards.
- To monitor the total production process including continuous monitoring of the total product flow, equipment, process methodology, mechanical repair work orders, on-the-job training of employees, writing and developing standard operating procedures.
- To operate equipment’s safely and efficiently such as mixers, shredders, homogenizers, flakers, and emulsifiers.
- To maintain high productivity and cost-effectiveness.
- To demonstrate leadership by implementing programs in training, safety, communications, performance recognition, and internal employee development in order to ensure peak employee productivity.
- To evaluate the need and supervise the daily shift operations of the section to ensure hygiene, production standards, quality parameters, safety procedures, and department business plan goals are met.
- To work effectively with the maintenance team to minimize production downtime and ensure preventative maintenance is performed on schedule.
- Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments to machines.
- To complete all assigned paperwork, and technical weekly/monthly reports.
- To evaluate staff efficiency and lead problem-solving efforts in the section.
- To consult with the manager for any essential requirements concerning daily production.
- To develop schedules, future strategies and planning for cheese production and staff management.
- Collaboration with farm other sections, and manage facility VIP visits.

- High-quality cheese production and supply.
- Update data sheets.

INTERNAL CROSS WORKING RELATIONS (DEPARTMENTAL):
- Administration.

EXTERNAL WORKING RELATIONS:
- Coordination.
- Management.

Requirements

Education:
- A Bachelor degree in Food Science or a relevant field.

Relevant Experience:
- Minimum of 05-years’ supervisory experience in food/cheese production industry.
- Experience in supply and staff management, equipment’s handling and ability to perform shift work.

Technical Knowledge/ Skills:
- Knowledge of Dairy (especially Cheese) production.
- Knowledge of milk processing and handling all machines/equipment’s involved.

Computer Skills:
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, and the internet.

Language Ability:
- Very good verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Cheese Factory and Farm based duties.
