Job description / Role
Female Western Speech Language Therapist up to 25K AED for a Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital
- Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty
- Determine the extent of communication problems by having a patient complete basic reading and vocalizing tasks or by giving standardized tests
- Identify treatment options
- Create and carry out an individualized treatment plan
- Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
- Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
- Work with patients to improve their ability to read and write correctly
- Work with patients to develop and strengthen the muscles used to swallow
- Counsel patients and families on how to cope with communication disorders
Requirements
- Open to WESTERN EUROPEAN candidates
- Female, 28 – 40 years old
- With Bachelor’s degree in Speech Therapy or any relevant discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the same role preferably with preschool/elementary school students aged children
- Worked in a rehabilitation center/medical center/hospital
- Must have MOH/DHA/HAAD license/eligibility letter
- Demonstrates knowledge of current best practices in the area of speech-language pathology
- Has strong background in conducting assessments, analyzing results, and writing reports to determine strengths and concerns in areas of speech, voice, fluency, pragmatics, language, and oral motor skills
- Completes treatment notes and progress reports in timely manner and in accordance to hospital policy
- Have excellent time management and communication skills
- Working knowledge of health care laws and regulations
- Can join immediately (visit/cancelled visa preferred) or maximum 1-month
- Work Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Salary up to 25,000 AED full package depending on experience and qualifications
