Female Yacht Captain

Job description / Role

We are seeking an experienced Female Yacht Captain to take full command of a 24–45m private yacht operating in the UAE and surrounding regions. The ideal candidate is confident, safety-focused, professional, and able to manage all aspects of vessel operations, crew leadership, navigation, maintenance oversight, and guest services.

This role requires strong technical ability, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to ensure the highest standards of safety, compliance, and onboard experience.

Key Responsibilities
Navigation & Vessel Operation

• Command the yacht safely during all voyages, manoeuvres, and docking procedures.
• Plan routes, assess weather conditions, and ensure compliance with maritime regulations.
• Maintain accurate logbooks, charts, and navigation systems.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with local and international maritime laws.
• Conduct regular safety drills and crew training.
• Maintain all certificates, inspections, and documentation in good standing.

Maintenance & Technical Oversight

• Supervise routine and preventive maintenance for engines, systems, deck, and interior.
• Coordinate with engineers, shipyards, suppliers, and service providers as needed.
• Monitor budgets for fuel, repairs, and supplies.

Crew Leadership

• Manage and supervise crew members; ensure proper conduct, training, and performance.
• Assist in hiring, onboarding, and scheduling crew.

Guest Service & Onboard Experience

• Ensure a high level of hospitality, discretion, and professionalism at all times.
• Oversee preparation for guest trips, events, and activities.
• Maintain excellent communication with the owner and guests.

Administration

• Oversee voyage planning, inventories, procurement, expenditures, and reports.
• Maintain full operational readiness of the yacht at all times.

Qualifications & Experience
Required:

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as Captain, Chief Officer, or Watch Officer on vessels 20m+.
• Strong command of yacht handling, navigation, and maritime operations.
• Valid STCW Certification.
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols and ISPS/ISM procedures.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Professional appearance, discretion, and guest-service mindset.

Preferred:

• Master 200 GT / Master 500 GT / OOW Unlimited or equivalent certification.
• Previous experience on private or charter yachts 24–45m.
• Knowledge of UAE waters and regional navigation.
• Female candidates strongly encouraged due to program requirements.

Salary:
AED 15,000 to 35,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
