Job description / Role
JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for performing operation and monitoring of equipment in the field, including startup, shutdown, isolation, and preparation for maintenance activities, as well as normalization after maintenance completion. Additional responsibilities may include basic maintenance tasks. All tasks must be carried out in accordance with operating procedures and HSE guidelines, under the coordination and instructions of Control Room Operators and Shift Supervisors.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Operation and Maintenance
• Participate in plant start-up and commissioning activities, raise punch list items, and submit warranty claims as needed.
• Attend training programs and assist in the continuous improvement of HSSEQ policies and procedures.
• Communicate with Control Room Operators and oversee the field operations of all plant equipment, including boilers, HRSG, turbines, pumps, compressors, valves, filters, etc.
• Perform regular rounds to monitor equipment conditions, record operational data, and report abnormalities, taking necessary actions as required.
• Execute isolation, preparation, and normalization of equipment for maintenance in line with PTW and LOTO procedures.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure timely and planned execution of maintenance activities.
• Carry out basic maintenance tasks as required.
• Follow and contribute to the improvement of operating procedures.
• Monitor subcontractor activities to ensure safety compliance.
• Take appropriate actions in coordination with Control Room Operators and the Shift Supervisor in case of emergencies.
• Undergo firefighting training and act according to the assigned role in the Emergency Response Plan.
• Minimize operational costs.
• Perform other duties as required by the Shift Supervisor.

• Adhere to all health, safety, security, and environmental procedures, instructions, and controls to ensure the safety of employees and environmental compliance.
COMMUNICATION & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Internal:
• Work closely with colleagues in the operations department.
• Coordinate with other departments across the plant organization, particularly maintenance and HSE.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
• Minimum Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or Technical Certificate.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is recommended.
• 3 - 5 years of proven experience in the O&M of power plants (except for "fresh" operators).

Salary:
AED
20,000 to 30,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
