Charterhouse is working with a Dubai-based IT and Software Development company who is looking to recruit an experienced Finance & Compliance Officer. Our client works with their global client base and specialise in IT management, mobile application development and big data analytics.

As the Finance & Compliance Officer, your main responsibility will be to ensure that the company is complying to all local legislative and regulatory tax and compliance obligations. This means that the applicant shall be required to carry out customer due diligence, prepare and review contracts, formulate anti-money laundering (AML) and combating the financing of terrorism (CFT) internal policies and procedures, among other duties.

The applicant should also be familiar with leading the KYC process, coordinating with local banks for account opening and closing, and dealing with corporate tax risks and internal auditing.

As the head of the compliance function in this firm, the applicant shall possess the ability to work with the General Manager and the Finance Manager to ensure adequate compliance across all areas of the business.

Requirements

Our client is looking to hire someone from a finance background, with knowledge of the UAE taxation and legal system. To be considered for this role, the candidate will have a minimum of three years of work experience in Compliance, Auditing, AML, Legal or Tax. You should have a strong understanding of UAE regulations and legal requirements, as well as previous experience coordinating with regulatory bodies.

Candidates that hold a Degree in Law or Taxation would be preferred, as well as candidates that have gained their experience from financial institutions or regulatory bodies.
