Finance Director

Job description / Role

A well-established financial institution in the region is looking to hire a Finance Director that will be based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This role will be reporting to the Chief Operating Officer but will work closely with the Senior Management Team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Will oversee all accounting operations across entities
* Will be responsible with strategic, budgeting and back office oversight tasks
* Prepare monthly and quarterly budget and liquidity report
* Oversee the accounting for and its subsidiaries.
* Prepare and submit quarterly and annual regulatory reports
* Review adequacy of current accounting system (Quick Books)
* Manage and oversee the liquidity across entities, cash payments and liquidity reporting.
* Lead and coordinate audits across entities.
* Oversee the expense processing system

Requirements

Key Qualifications

* CA or CPA Qualified
* Well knowledgeable of IFRS and revenue recognition for financial instruments.
* With educational background with accounting in fixed income and structured products and swaps gained in an established commercial/investment bank, chartered accountancy firm or audit firm.
* Experience in accounting/bookkeeping, financial analysis
* Management involvement overseeing accountants and back office remotely.
* Extensive accounting and record keeping experience
* Attention to detail is critical.
* Knowledgeable with accounting software.
* Technologically literate with excellent data management skills, including full familiarity and experience with Microsoft Office software
* Good organizational skills.
* Proactive, result-driven, ability to work in a fast paced and fluid environment.
* Good written and oral communication skills in English.
* Willing to travel outside UAE
