Job description / Role
This is an excellent role for experienced financial / accounting professionals who wants to broaden knowledge & skills as a generalist.
Duties and Responsibilities
Analyst
- Analyze results, monitor variances, identify trends, recommend actions to management and as a result contribute towards improving the financial status
- Conduct market research and data mining to support internal financial analysis
- Report financial status by analyzing actual results with budget and forecasts
- Support pricing, industry, and competitive analysis reports
- Assist in the long-term strategy and business planning process
Accounting
- Post and process daily journal entries to ensure all financial business transactions are recorded in the ERP system
- Monitor AR Collection - pursue timely collection with continuous client follow ups and escalate collections issues as necessary
- Prepare payments, disbursements, proof-read document and perform reconciliations
- Partner with Overseas service centers to ensure that client invoices are accurate and produced in a timely manner
- Manage physical count of the inventory, and report discrepancies from records
- Keep track of the inventory movements and prepare the damages report
- Keep records of the weekly shipments (departures, arrivals, and transfers)
- File, maintain, and distribute documents accurately and in accordance with company’s policies
Logistics
- Liaise with inter-company suppliers
- Shipment coordination
- Order forecasting
- Generate accurate reports of shipping movements
- Reconciliation of Claim / Damage
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ well round experience in the field of Finance & Accounting
- With enhanced research skills in Food & Beverage sector
- Demonstrate exceptional statistical analysis skills with an advanced level of Excel and other MS Applications
- Experience with coordinating logistics and ocean freight activities, coupled with an understanding of inventory and its implications
- Experience in updating ERP systems with basic information into controlled formats
