Finance Manager

Job description / Role

• Follow up on funds requirement are available and process to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
• Maintain banking relationships
• Assist in determining the company's proper capital structure
• Arrange for equity and debt financing
• Follow up on appropriate dividend issuances, based on historical dividend patterns and expected cash flows
• Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company
• Review and manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, report variances.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements in accordance with the international financial reporting standards or the authoritative accounting standards as required by the authorities
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting to management and group finance
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and reports to management the updates on new applicable requirements that impacts the company and tax filings- not currently applicable in the UAE.
• Develop and document finance business processes and policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls align with group.
• Report to management /group on variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances
• Assist management/group finance in the formulation of its overall strategic direction
• Responsible to prepare and manage the company budget and ensure the practise and process and ensure is aligned to policy
• Ensure that the financial situation of the company is presented on monthly basis, and that the extracted results are analysed, necessary financial ratios are observed and put his financial recommendation to management to minimize losses from financial transactions.
• Responsible for the financial strategy to ensure financial sustainability requirements of the operation of company
• Responsible to provide input on the payment plans for supplier payment and tenant postponement request
• Responsible to assessment and monitor the financial contracts ,loan facility agreement deliverables and prepares and delivers requested reports
• Manage the implementing of new software system for the company, i.e Yardi

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Experience with creating financial statements
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
• Proven working experience as a Manager
• Advanced degree in Accounting
• CPA or CMA preferred
• 9+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
