Finance Manager

Job description / Role

Middle East Executive are currently managing a retained executive search assignment for a global food business with a strong presence here in the UAE.

As the Finance Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring internal controls & financial discipline and overall profitability of the group through margin realization, driving cost control measures and optimum working capital utilization.

Key responsibilities;

• Lead, coach and develop a team of finance executives
• Establish internal controls/checks through defined policies and procedures
• Ensure accounting records in ERP are maintained as per IFRS
• Facilitate the completion of audit and ensure compliance as per audit requirements and accounting standards
• Responsible for internal and external risk management in coordination with the business units/departments
• Ensure strict discipline in timely closure of accounts at month/quarter/bi-year and year end
• Be a custodian of all financial policies and review them periodically in line with business requirements
• Handle and resolve ERP- FM related queries
• Ensure that the company’s assets are reflected in the financial records at their true and fair value and to make necessary provisions for the same
• Monitor and ensure that the operations are in line with contractual obligations with business partners on Pricing, recoveries, payments and other commercial terms.
• Responsible for driving the profitability of the UAE by monitoring that the suppliers’ margins are realized as per the agreed terms and conditions
• Quarterly review of brand profitability for the UAE and recommend action plans in coordination with department heads/GMs
• Monitoring that the working capital at the group level is in line with the allocated budgets
• Review the commercial terms and agreements and conduct a feasibility study pertaining to new businesses, highlighting any areas of concern.

Salary:
AED 25,000 to 38,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

Key requirements;

- Graduate in Accounting Discipline; Post Graduation preferred
- 10-12 years of experience in a related function with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role
- You must come from a food retail, food service or food manufacturing background.
