Job description / Role
• Plan, direct and manage the provision of accurate, timely, and objective financial data from which informed management decisions can be made.
• Recommend remedial action when and where necessary.
• Safeguard company assets by creating and maintaining sound internal control systems.
• Building and managing a high-performing finance team, aligning with organizational culture
• Setting up and implementing customer credit scoring and credit control measures
• Compliance and KYC of the customers and vendors
• Accurate quarterly financial planning, budgeting, and continuous monitoring/reporting
• Preparing financial statements according to IFRS
• Managing auditors with the highest quality
• Provide financial insights/reports to management in time to help better decision-making
• Participation in defining the company’s strategic decision making
• Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans
• Review, investigate and correct any possible errors and inconsistencies in financial books.
• Keep up to date on all tax-related regulations and handle them
• Prepare and submit monthly VAT reports
• Managing company cash flow based on the business plan
• Managing inventory and procurement processes
Requirements
• Candidates must be degree educated in Accounting or Finance with a professional accountancy qualification such as CA, ACCA, or CPA
• Minimum of 7 years experience with at least 2 years working in the UAE working as a Finance Manager
• Fast-learner / self-motivated
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Sharp attention to detail with solid knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
• Excellent command of English
• Team management and leadership skills are required
• Excellent analytical skills
• Solid communication skills
• Experience in the shipping/logistics/freight industry is a big plus
