Job description / Role
This opportunity is with a luxury interior design company.
In this position you would be responsible for the following:
- Develop and manage annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Perform detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis and profitability assessments to guide decision-making.
- Provide strategic financial insights to management to optimize growth and cost-efficiency.
- Oversee accounting functions such as accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger, and month-end/year-end processes.
- Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Liaise with external auditors to prepare for audits and address findings.
- Manage cash flow to maintain adequate liquidity for day-to-day operations.
- Oversee treasury functions, including bank accounts, cash management, and banking relationships.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely settlements.
- Implement and monitor effective working capital management strategies.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to monitor business performance.
- Present financial results and key analyses to the Managing Director and board of directors.
- Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring high performance and ongoing professional growth.
- Conduct regular team meetings to assess progress, provide feedback, and resolve challenges.
- Promote financial literacy within the company and raise awareness of the financial impacts of employee actions.
- Coordinate with department heads to develop and manage departmental budgets.
Requirements:
- Expertise in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, SAP, Oracle).
- Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
