Job description / Role
The Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and transparent management programme finances in line with recognised accounting/auditing standards and group procedures, as well as the development of new processes to support expansion plans.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Provide and interpret financial information
• Monitor and interpret cash flows and predicting future trends
• Analyse change and devise a strategy accordingly;
• Formulate strategic and long-term business plans
• Research and report on factors influencing business performance
• Analyse competitors and market trends
• Develop financial management mechanisms that minimise financial risk
• Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
• Manage a company\'s financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems
• Liaise with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out
• Develop external relationships with appropriate contacts e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organisations
• Produce accurate financial reports to specific deadlines
• Manage budgets
• Arrange new sources of finance for a company\'s debt facilities
• Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation
• Ensure that all finances are properly administered and monitored, including credit control
• Advise on the proper allocation of resources
• Ensure that appropriate financial regulations and controls are in place and in use at all times
• Prepare and review detailed budgets for approval by the governing body
• Make regular reports to the governing body on income, expenditure and any variations from budgets
• Act as cheque signatory for and authorise expenditure up to limits as agreed by the governing body
Requirements
• A qualified Accountant eg. ACCA/ CIMA / ACA with 10 years of experience in the financial sector; UAE experience is a must
• MUST have Fashion Retail experience
• Excellent eye for detail, diligent knowledge of accounting regulations
• Ability to report to senior managers
• Capabilities to supervise, manage and lead staff
• Excellent commercial flair and industry experience
