Job description / Role
Our Client a Magic Circle Law firm are seeking to hire a Finance Manager to be based in their Dubai office. This role will have line management responsibility of the billing and revenue coordinator and finance officer and will work closely with the Finance Director. The key responsibilities will be as follows:
- Developing and updating all finance policies
- Responsibility to drive the billing, collections and AP functions
- Supporting, mentoring and developing team members
- Preparation of the P&L balance sheet statements
- Financial analysis
- Monitoring and review of balance sheet accounts
- VAT filing and analysis
- Payroll preparation and ledger entry
- Cost control and vendor contract analysis
- Dealing with Audit requirements
- Monitoring and preparation of cash forecasting reports
Requirements
- At least 3 years prior experience in a Finance Manager or similar role, preferably within another law firm or a professional services firm
- Qualified or part qualified Chartered Accountant (ACCA,ACA,CIMA)
- Excellent understanding of accounting process and procedures
- Experience working with Elite 3E practice management system is a distinct advantage
- Strong competence in Excel, Outlook and Word
- Ability to work under pressure and manage several tasks at the same time
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Good organisational skills and flawless attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and act on own initiative
- Able to work to tight deadlines
- Strong team player
- Flexible and proactive approach
- Positive professional attitude
- Eagerness to broaden experience and develop skills further
