Job description / Role
• To support in developing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures and IFRS
• To support in preparing and updating accounting plans for all the products in line with IFRS and Group Financial accounting policies
• To support in implementing and maintaining reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements
• To perform reconciliation (Balance sheet, Suspense balance, interest, balances etc) at all levels in a timely and accurate manner and following up ensuring resolution of reconciliation differences between GL & Transaction processing systems related to Treasury.
• To support performance of sense check analysis of both Balance sheet and P&L balances with necessary and appropriate substantiation at regular intervals.
• To prepare journal entries including maintenance of recurring journal entries and allocations
• To support all accounting requirements including account opening, maintenance etc
• Timely escalation of exceptions/deviations
• To suggest and implement process improvements to address any control gaps
• To work closely with Finance systems team and IT to automate processes and eliminate manual intervention to the extent possible
• Collation of required reports from sub systems / GL , summaries /consolidate as per Business Finance requirements
• To track key indicators and provide necessary information for required analysis
• Handling of adhoc queries/reports
Requirements
• Qualified accountant/MBA Finance – or pursuing advanced level /professional qualification in these areas
• Between 3-4 years of total work experience in the Finance function of a large bank with exposure to business finance and exposure to Treasury banking Business Finance or FMCG
• Past industry experience: Preferably banking/shared services experience
Salary package:
• AED 10,000 pm + Bonus+ Benefits for Arabic profiles.
• For UAE Nationals- AED 13,000 pm (inclusive of UAE national allowance) + Bonus+ Benefits
