Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Souq/Amazon MENA Consumer Marketing drives customers to our websites and mobile apps, and keeps customers engaged and delighted through a variety of innovative and advanced digital marketing channels and features. Specifically, you will support a variety of new and innovative marketing programs across the Consumer Marketing organization and FP&A.

As to marketing programs, you would need to help in creating new programs from the ground up. You need to work well with ambiguity, get excited about iterating on new marketing models with business leaders. As to FP&A, you will be able to learn Souq/Amazon MENA entire marketing strategy as this position is responsible for total Souq marketing spends management, planning process, reporting and analysis. The successful candidate will provide strategic guidance and decision support in partnership with the marketing managers on a range of new programs being created for our customers.

This role requires strong analytical acumen, cognitive flexibility, business modelling skills and communication skills.

At the same time, establishing scalable and automated process and working closely with key stakeholders are important for FP&A role.

The candidate shall act as a finance & analytics partner on variety of new marketing programs and processes –
• Own the production and design of the Marketing WBRs as Finance/Analytics Partner.
• Support the building of marketing models to manage the marketing spends to deliver the marketing objectives for growth and profitability.
• Work on the launch and implementation of new marketing tools in Amazon MENA (post-Sunrise/ Amazon tech stack launch)
• Support Decision Making Process:
• Deliver meaningful insight and practical recommendations, in addition to sound financial data analysis, to inform and influence business decisions.
• Deliver key marketing financial reporting to senior management including spends, ROIs, performance by channels and category.
• Evaluation of Initiatives: Analyze various ‘initiatives’ agreed with Category, country teams. Identify and document learnings, bring them back to teams for better planning.
• Work on attribution model to allocate marketing spends by channel to each Product line.
• Build processes and Tools
• Ensure smooth flow of information, metrics, and numbers amongst business teams.
• Build and automate dashboards, scorecards necessary to run the business and assess marketing teams’ performance.

Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience of at least 3-4 years in Business or Marketing Analytics.
• Ideal candidate from analytics background; MBA is a plus.
• Strong analytic and communication skills, and have a passion for using data to drive business decisions.
• Self-starter that attacks complex business problems with curiosity and dives deep to identify root causes, he/she thrives by providing data-driven decision support and business intelligence that is timely, accurate, and actionable.
• Deriving business insights from large volumes of data using data mining tools including proficiency in SQL, Databases and other coding mechanisms.
• Experience in data visualization platforms (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Quicksight)
• Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent projects while still delivering timely and accurate results
• Experience working with both business and operations teams with deep experience on existing systems and data sources

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related business field.
• Previous experience in an internet-based company with large, complex data sources
• Previous experience with Online Marketing data
