Financial Controller

Job description / Role

We’re searching for a young, dynamic Financial Controller who will report to the FD (British) of this MNC company. This role has scope for long term progression. Candidates should be in the earlier stages of their career with around 10 yrs experience in finance (max).

SALARY: AED 28k / month

Duties and Responsibilities;
• Being responsible for managing remote finance staff in the far east
• Manage the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and treasury functions
• Timely monthly reporting, consolidation, analysis and commentary on the group of companies
• Preparation of accurate monthly balance sheet schedules for the group
• Drive process improvement initiatives; specifically automated consolidation
• Country level tax planning
• Foreign exchange management
• Managing relationships with external auditors, financial institutions / banks
• Preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
• Develop a business partnering ethos
• Engaging with the commercial team and help them achieve their goals through effective reporting and budget/ forecast comparison.
• Produce statutory accounts and tax returns for the Group and its various subsidiaries as and when required in accordance with the relevant accounting principles and jurisdictional legislation

Requirements

Candidate profile;
• Chartered accounting qualification
• Western qualified candidates with hands on accounting experience preferred
• Proven finance experience in a previous Finance Manager role
• Strong analytical skills, decision making, IFRS accounting and an understanding of the principles of tax
• Good presentation and strong interpersonal skills as an effective cross-functional communicator
• Strong excel skills
