Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Responsible for the following finance functions in Aon Hewitt Middle East including:

* Financial and statutory accounting
* Technical accounting
* Tax
* Treasury

- In conjunction with FP&A team, responsible for Financial planning and analysis (budget, forecasts, variance analysis)
- Responsible for internal controls and compliance with SOX.
- Responsible for finance related legal & compliance topics (client & vendor contracts, KYC forms, registrations etc)
- Manage the cooperation and communication with internal and external audit.
- Manage relationship with banks and external advisors (tax etc).
- Manage and implement finance related projects (i.e. time entry and project management systems) and policies (i.e. travel & expense, mobile phone & revenue recognition etc)
- Provide support to local CEO and regional finance functions on finance issues and their impact on business decisions, particularly tracking client project performance (cost, travel, consulting hours, invoicing etc) against budget.
- Responsible for the payroll process (payroll administration and calculations).

Requirements

- University degree preferably in accounting.
- Preferably qualified accountant
- Minimum 6 years experience in accounting/reporting function, preferably including big four public accounting experience
- Intermediate knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards.
- Ability to identify, manage and resolve internal control issues.
- Excellent verbal, organisational and communication skills.
- Confident, accurate, self-motivated and resilient.
- Discrete, diplomatic, flexible and reliable.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Possess a good customer and business/commercial perspective.
