On behalf of our client a multinational events company that is based in Dubai we are looking to recruit a Financial Controller. Reporting to the Finance Director ( Based in the UK) you will be responsible for overseeing preparation of monthly management accounts, for UAE and Qatar. Review and analysis of variances to budget, commentary and discussion.
Preparation of monthly reforecast in conjunction with business leads, account managers, Finance Director, HR Manager and other key staff. Co-ordination of the annual budget process for Middle East Businesses Preparation of weekly cashflow forecasts for group submission Management of group working capital maximizing cash within the Business. Providing financial information to key management as and when required, including sales updates, variance analysis and sensitivity analysis Management and performance appraisal of the finance team Ensuring compliance with all applicable taxes and duties including VAT, payroll taxes and import duties.Review and approval of monthly payroll.Involvement of implementation and roll out of workday to business.Coordinating the audit process in the Middle East, and being first point of contact with auditors. Working with client and sales teams to improve the results of the business, eg maximising gross margin, improving cashflow. Acting as a business partner to the CEO and broader management team of Businesses. Reviewing relating to l key client and supplier contracts and influencing negotiation of those contracts. Involvement in setting pricing for tender documents and standard rates for products and services.Controlling costs, ensuring expenses are appropriate and comply with group policies.Implementing and applying appropriate financial controls and continuous proactive optimization of financial processes.
AED 35,000 to 45,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

The successful candidate must be a resident of the UAE and hold an ACCA/CIMA/ACA professional qualification, have 10 years post graduation experience ideally 5 years of that be in the UAE, up to date knowledge of IFRS, experience of preparing monthly management accounts, working with multi currency consolidation and be of a commercial mindset.
