Candidates seeking a step into a senior role within Financial Planning & Analysis from a retail fashion background are encouraged to apply for this vacancy as our client’s requirement is urgent. Based in Abu Dhabi the retail trading company is part of a larger group incorporating fashion, luxury and homewares. Reporting to the Accounts Manager and indirectly the CFO, this role requires a switched on, commercially and economically aware candidate in order to assist with budgets and strategic operational planning of the business.

Experience in a large fashion retail environment of approximately 150+ stores is highly desirable as you will provide technical and financial support to those at a senior level. Candidates should also have exposure to audit and will therefore have possible prior experience from one of the “Big 4” financial organisations. The role responsibilities include historical financial analysis, suggestion of financial trends and the resulting implications of key actions and strategies.

You will lead scenario driven financial modelling efforts to improve the development and overall growth of the organisation and prepare presentations at board level to support monthly and quarterly leadership meetings. As a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager you will take ownership of the accuracy of management reporting and ongoing critical reviews of existing processes and procedures to standardise and improve efficient budget and reporting consolidation. The core function of the role is dedicated to providing high quality, up to the minute information by planning and forecasting all key aspects of the retail business.

Requirements

In order to be successful in this role you should possess both commercial and financial acumen and be focused on achieving the best outcomes for the organisation in terms of budgets, variants, trends and business models for the future growth of the company.

Those from a large retail organisation will be highly advantageous, alongside software exposure of COGNOS and Hyperion. It is expected that you will possess a financial qualification from a top university and be an expert in Excel and PowerPoint. Individuals should also possess excellent English communication skills, a strong work ethic and solid analytical and numerical capabilities to express reasoning and trends to the senior team.
