The Company

A leading Holding company based in Abu Dhabi is looking to recruit a Financial Systems Manager.

The Role

The Head of Financial Systems is responsible continually enhance finance and wider reporting capability through automation and digitalisation. Moreover, the head of Financial Systems is responsible for gathering and analysing the business process requirements of the Finance team and configuring the ERP system to efficiently meet those requirements. Planning for Finance related system projects and business process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

* Mitigate legacy risks and exposures in the current Finance system and application support
* Manage and improve BAU support to the business on legacy finance system whilst transformation project is underway.
* Ensuring optimal scoping of projects, allocation of work and timely delivery of robust solutions
* Ownership of all post-transformation finance system solutions, processes and applications.
* With the support of FLT, modernise the financial systems and infrastructure to ensure that it is fit for purpose both now and when taking account of strategic growth and diversification plans
* Ensure the finance systems & infrastructure enable and empower the finance function to complete all deliverables with a high-level of accuracy, insight and efficiency, with a focus on eliminating manual work at every opportunity and processes adopted in solutions are recognised as best practice and best in class
* Lead, optimize and successfully deliver future integration/migration of businesses acquired into the financial systems & infrastructure
* Develop, manage and transform the finance systems team to deliver the highest quality support to the finance community and all business
* Proactively look for opportunities to make incremental enhancements and improvements to current and future finance systems, reporting and data analytics capabilities
* Drive increased efficiency and productivity across finance via overhauling and modernisation of systems and processes
* Support the commercial and operational decisions of the business, by enhancing the analysis, insight and financial reporting capabilities of the finance team
* Drive the continuous improvement of the group's financial systems and analytics capabilities, to make them better, simpler and more user intuitive with self-serve capabilities

Requirements

The Candidate

* Qualified accountant with a proven track record of career progression in a large, dynamic organisation
* At least 8 to 10 years of experience working in a relevant finance role
* Have a proven track record in delivering Finance System
* Experience with system integration, improvement and modernisation
* Highly competent in writing coding languages such as SQL, VBA & Macros
* Extensive experience with analytics tools such as Tableau, Qlikview or Power BI
* Display experience in interpreting, structuring and optimising large commercial data sets (both financial and non-financial) to ensure the business is able to take advantage of enhancing insight
* Have managed staff
* Have developed business partnering relationships at a senior level within an organization
* Driving change, improvement and challenge through an organisation or department

Salary and Benefits

38,000 - 45,000aed per month plus Education allowance
