Job description / Role
Client is looking for x2 Fire Fighting & Alarm Maintenance Supervisors in Abu Dhabi for a large leisure project. This is an exciting position for any Fire professional in the UAE to join a great team on a very iconic project.
Main Responsibilities:
• Supervising the maintenance of fire detection, fire protection and life safety system maintenance as per NFPA & UAE codes.
• Daily monitoring of fire and life safety system to make sure all are in good working condition all-time
• Patrolling the site regularly and check the following equipment
• Fire alarm system & firefighting system
• Technical premises: Electrical, heating & ventilation, other areas for fire safety issues
• The presence of obstacles could block the automated fire doors & emergency access
• Accumulation combustible materials
• Equipment and scheduled rounds
• Attend the fire alarm cases immediately
• Use fire extinguishing system , portable , stand by fire fighting vehicle to extinguish the fire
Requirements
• Minimum of diploma in engineering
• Preferred diploma/ industrial training/ in engineering
• Minimum 3 years’ Experience inspection , testing and maintenance of fire alarm and fire protection system
• Fire prevention and fighting course
• Advanced firefighting course or Civil defence approved advances firefighting training
• IOSH/ Nebosh HSE at work course - Preferred
• 5 years of experience as fire alarm and firefighting maintenance supervisor
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Knowledge in safety management
• Good knowledge of fire alarm. Sprinkler system, gaseous suppression system & aspirating detection system
• Fire prevention program
