Fire and Life Safety Engineer - Iconic Project - Dubai, UAE

We are currently assisting a major infrastructure project in Dubai with several recently opened vacancies. The latest opportunity we are assisting with is for a Fire and Life Safety Engineer to join as soon as possible.

The ideal candidate will have worked within a major infrastructure project previously and have experience within rail / metro in the Middle East. The primary responsibility within the position is to manage the fire life safety aspects throughout the project which is scheduled to run until 2020. You will be responsible for producing the fire life safety strategy and engineering plan and gaining approvals from Dubai Civil Defence (DCD).

Requirements

* University degree in Engineering.
* Knowledge of project delivery processes and techniques, good understanding of engineering and construction activities sequencing;
* High standard of written and spoken English.
* Knowledge of Dubai Civil Defense (DCD) policy
* Minimum 10 years' experience in managing project FLS issues in railway projects;
* Strong experience in managing project safety in railway projects based on NFPA standards.
* Experience in working in multicultural environment involving various vendors and contractors
* Experience in Rail Systems, Civil Works - Elevated and Underground metro stations, underground (Tunnels), Viaduct, Mechanical-Electrical-Plumbing, occupancies, fire detection/protection systems, Smoke extraction systems.

This role is a long term opportunity for a senior professional to join an expanding team on a multi- billion dollar iconic project. You will be offered a salary of up to US$8k per month tax free as well as a return flight and all the visa assistance required to mobilise to UAE.
