This role is with Oracle Financial Services Software is a separate company and majority-owned subsidiary of Oracle Corporation.

This role will be responsible for delivering Functional Consulting for Oracle FLEXCUBE implementations and Managed services assignments as a Functional Consultant across Middle East and Africa.

Oracle FLEXCUBE Universal Banking provides a comprehensive, off-the-shelf, packaged solution that enables banks to meet the challenges of a global economy and achieve faster go to market. It provides end-to-end functionality and offers open development tools to create and customize user interfaces.

Oracle FLEXCUBE for Islamic Banking facilitates and automates Sharia-compliant banking operations with multiple deployment models, including pure-play Islamic, Islamic window, and coexisting Islamic and conventional banking.

We require a onsite Techno-Functional Consulting Manager to participate in implementing Oracle Flexcube to customer's sites, leading banks across the region.

You will join the Oracle Financial Services Software business in Dubai, UAE but you will be required to work on customer sites outside of UAE as well, into Middle East and Africa.


What You'll Do - Be the vital piece of the puzzle that connects us to the millions of businesses that need our help to evolve.

You will work directly with client's core business team to ensure focus on business case objectives, leveraging best practice processes across the solution set, and scope management. This role also involves developing practical and creative solutions in a way that solves business problem. Facilitates workshops with clients to deliver a clear specification of the customer's business requirements and a business-justified solution. Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices.

Demonstrates expertise to deliver detailed functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements. May lead the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget. May act as the team lead on projects, providing coaching, guidance and feedback to develop skills of less experienced team members. Effectively consults with management of customer organizations.

• Be part of Implementation activities of Oracle FLEXCUBE Core Banking product – both Onsite at Customer location as well as remotely from base-location.
• Should have thorough technical and business knowledge in FCUBS Core, CASA, Teller, Deposit, IC, Payment, Lending and corporate Modules.
• You will be able to present this business solution and solution architecture to the customer
• Analysis of customer’s requirements and fitment into the Banking solution provided by Oracle.
• Use defined Standards/Tools/Processes/Change-Control-Steps and document all work to achieve deliverable that meet Quality/Audit/Compliance expectations of Oracle/Client.
• Coordinate with Offshore Development and/or Support teams for various technical deliverables including Customization Deliveries, Patchsets, fixes etc.
• He/she will need to successfully manage Customer Relationship and respond / address any initial escalations from Customer.
• Guide clients towards solutions that leverage Oracle base system functionality and best practices in the industry.
• Develop functional design specifications independently for moderate to complex requirements, and develop functional designs for very complex requirements with some support from a senior designer
• Business process modelling (experience with Oracle Utilities Reference model is a plus).
• Work closely with the client to understand and manage their expectations, as well as working closely with Oracle and third-party vendors to ensure delivery.
• Frequent interactions with the end customer, in order to discuss requiremetns, provide/suggest solutions and product related expertise
• Lead and mentor where necessary a small scale team of Junior Technical consultants on technical aspects of the project in order to achieve the objectives commonly defined by Customer and Oracle

Primary skills
• Should have sound business knowledge of Flexcube (FCUBS Core, CASA, Teller, Deposit, IC and Payment Modules) or other Core Banking systems such as Finacle (Infosys), Globus/T24/IBIS (Temenos), Midas/Bankmaster/Equation (Misys), Banks/Quartz (TCS), Symbols (SunGuard, SystemAccess)
• Should have thorough technical and business knowledge in FCUBS Core, Current and Savings Accounts, Teller, Deposit, Interest and Charges, Payments, Lending and corporate Modules.
• Good experience in Oracle DB, Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Java, JavaScript, XML and J2EE, Microservices, SpringBoot, Ojet, RAD tools.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of core banking applications architecture and customer’s technical architecture
• Ability to interact and communicate with client Business / IT Teams independently
• Analyze solution approaches, estimations, best practices, project risks and recommendations.
• Ability to understand client requirements and map them to ‘off-the-shelf’ products or product features to decide whether they would be more suitable than building a new system from scratch.
• Lead technical team members in Development or Implementation or Managed Service activity.
• Participate and lead, the project meetings and Product-Walkthrough workshops with the Customer.
• Excellent analytical, presentation and communications skills, proven ability to translate business requirements into technology specifications.
• Excellent knowledge of banking terminologies, concepts and processes
• Good communication & documentation skills in English
• Analyze solution approaches, estimations, best practices, project risks and recommendations.
• Good Team handling skills
• Plan, manage and communicate the progress of the project, achieving project milestones and maintaining momentum of the project
• Utilize a mix of global resources within a matrix environment
• Facilitate resolution of issues and roadblocks
• Demonstrated experience in translating customer business requirements into workable business solutions either as software solutions or as re-engineering initiatives
• Quickly assesses customer needs, develops innovative plans to solve complex business workflow
• Knowledge on Islamic modules are added advantage

Secondary skills
• Knowledge of FCUBS version 14.x modules like Payments, Liquidity management and Virtual Account Management functionality.
• Working knowledge of Oracle development tools, WebLogic server deployments, Oracle Database
• Functional knowledge of banking systems.
• Exposure to software development processes and practices, Testing tools
• Awareness of latest technologies in Banking
• Functional knowledge of banking systems.
• Good Problem solving skills
