Job description
Reporting to assistant outlet manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide a friendly, courteous and professional service at all times.
- Greeting and acknowledging guests whilst building a rapport.
- Recognising repeat guests and addressing them with their names.
- Delivers food and beverages in a timely fashion.
- Assisting F&B server(s) as requested or needed.
- Double checking food coming out of the kitchen for any dietary or allergens needs flagged.
- Ensuring that all ordered food is announced to guests at their table.
- Communicating guest complaints and compliments to management.
- Communicating guest special occasion to staff or management i.e. anniversaries, birthdays, proposals etc.
- Be knowledgeable of food and drink menus offered and be able to answer queries and/or offer suggestions if asked.
Qualifications
- Previous experience within five star luxury hotel would be an advantage.
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
- Good communication skill.
- Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Detailed & service oriented with an eye for detail to be self-motivated and energetic.
Physical aspects of position (include but are not limited to):
- Frequent standing and walking throughout shift.
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs.
- Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, sitting.
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps.
