Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The role of this position is to provide professional support to the Factory Hygienist in the day to day routines related to the factory prerequisite programs. Also, to supports the Food Safety Specialist on the Validation& Verification exercises of the food safety control measures. The role might also involve performing and timely communicating the necessary quality checks and/or analyses required for product safety and quality e.g. physical, microbiological, etc. for products, intermediate products, raw materials, packaging).

Responsibilities:
- Define and update the basic Food Safety standards, procedures, instructions and tools which are directly related to the Food Safety Stream e.g. NGMP VS, OPLs, Cleaning Checklists, etc.
- Timely reporting of Compliance with Pathogen Monitoring Sampling Plans.
- Reporting of NGMP or PRP violations and take immediate corrections.
- Carrying out the required microbiological sampling according to standard procedures and work instructions
- Verifying the routine inspection of pest control devices, treatment activities, trend graphs, etc.
- Responsible for Pest Identification with experts and support pest-related investigations.
- Perform microbiological sampling in the production environment, utilities and canteens.
- Perform Staff Canteen Verification audits
- Conduct Basic Hygiene training for Operators, Contractors and visitors.
- Verify the adherence to the personal behaviors policy at shop floor
- Supports HACCP related validation and verification activities e.g. OPRPs

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (microbiology, food technology or other related fields)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Food Manufacturing Facilities
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in in food safety management system is preferred
- Good Knowledge of PRP’s and HACCP would be a plus
- Certified Basic Food Hygiene Trainer by Municipality is an asset
- Ability to communicate efficiently internally and externally
- Ability to build personal relationships with different functions of the value chain based on trust and open communication.
