Deloitte’s Business Intelligence Services (BIS) team is a unique global practice with over 200 professionals throughout the world, and with a strongly growing team focusing on the Middle East and Africa, based in the UAE.

The BIS team provides clients with bespoke reports on the background, integrity and reputation of individuals and entities in the context of a due diligence investigation, a fraud or dispute, or where clients seek to gather specific market intelligence to inform strategic decisions.

Applying a combination of in-depth public record research, field enquiries and analytical skills, BIS delivers background information and insight in a timely and efficient manner, including jurisdictions where public record sources are sparse. The work is conducted to a proven methodology, under the strictest confidentiality and within the laws of the countries in which the work is conducted.

We are currently seeking to fill a Dubai-based position with strong Farsi language skills, ranging from business analyst to assistant manager level, to assist the Middle East and Africa BIS team. Farsi fluent reading and writing skills is essential. English language and writing skills are vital and fluency in English (spoken and written) is a necessity. In addition, candidates who are also fluent in Arabic and/or other relevant regional languages, including Turkish, European languages, in particular French, are an added advantage.

Depending on your level of BIS-relevant experience, the successful candidate’s responsibilities will include one or more of the following:

• Research and analysis
• Case management
• Project management
• Delivering to the Client
• Business development

Requirements

• Good degree (2:1 or above) ideally in a discipline requiring research and writing skills (for example: International Relations, Politics, History, Economics, Languages or Linguistics).
• A demonstrable interest in – and knowledge of: Iranian media outlets; Iran’s political landscape (state and non-state actors involvement); Iran’s business environment (private vs public vs IRGC); and more broadly the Middle East and Africa.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to draw concise and logical conclusions from research and enquiries conducted.
• The ability to pay attention to detail – ensuring that vital information is neither missed nor misreported
• Creative approach to finding out information
• Good oral and written communication skills – precision and full fluency in formal written business English is essential. The ideal candidate will have a flair for written work and be able to produce high quality documents under time pressure.
• High level of organisation, good time management skills and ability to switch between several different tasks and respond to unexpected changes in deadlines and priorities
• Commitment, with a high level of drive, motivation and enthusiasm
• Fluency in Farsi is a must (speaking, reading & writing)
