Fragrance Buyer

Job description / Role

Quest Search and Selection is looking for a fragrance Buyer for an established brand for their head office based in Dubai. You will be responsible for the management of the products within this category, ensuring you drive the performance of the overall department in line with the strategy

As a Fragrance Buyer, you will:

* Ensure the department sales are achieved and the department is on target throughout the financial year
* A focus will be on improving margins and trading product through effectively to ensure margins are not compromised
* Manage the life span of a product and ensure new products are planned accordingly based off previous sales history
* Understand competitor product placements and assortment in order to appropriately plan the brand to stay abreast of the competition
* Keep control of purchasing power with suppliers, managing the critical path effectively, negotiating costings and deliveries in line with business needs
* Ensure good relationships are built with horizontal teams such as Merchandising, VM, Marketing, Finance, Logistics and Retail team.

Requirements

As a Fragrance Buyer, you are:

* Experience with fragrance, scents or perfume buying is essential
* Can identify issues and resolve in a timely manner
* Negotiation and driving results
* Proactively work closely with the Senior Buyer on the department strategy

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with prior relevant fragrance experience to enter a business which will allow you to showcase your ability and develop upwards.
