Employment: Full Time

Our client, a fast-growing local startup is currently in need of a Franchise Director to be based in Dubai.

Overall Objective: The Franchise Director guides and manages the overall provision of Franchise services and programs for the entire company.

The major areas directed are:
• Produce the legal framework and draft documentation for international franchising including the Franchise Agreement and Operating Principles
• Negotiate the terms and conditions of each Franchise Legal Agreement
• Set up professional franchise division creating a business plan and proposition of the brand
• Identify and research potential markets and advise of new opportunities
• Plan the distribution and logistics process including identifying the export requirements
• Identify and propose new partners and independent prospects
• Responsible for central communication and assets to franchise partners to ensure all retail principles, store layouts, the recruitment/training of team members and the overall brand proposition meet the brand standards
• Responsible for all market sales, Key Performance Indicators, trade and marketing calendar that underpin the annual territory business plan
• Risk Management - introduce credit management processes
• Manage and Develop the global franchise and operation channel ensuring efficiency is delivered through the group cross functional support departments
• Drive the franchise and business plan growth
• Establish strategic objectives for each market using the levers of margin, price and brand and setting and achieving demanding sales, service and profit targets
• Lead all markets business reviews
• Set merchandising and pricing strategies in line with local marketplace
• Ensure protection of the brand through compliance with the legal agreement and Trading Terms and Conditions

Responsibilities:
The Franchise Director is responsible for building firm relationships. The Franchise Director acts as a bond between the franchisees and operational partners. The Franchise Director facilitates fruitful achievements of business targets. This person is considered as the building block of the company. He/she acts as a priceless resource for preserving core values and operational quality standards.

Franchise Director will organize and plan the franchising department. The Franchise Director will ensure that franchisees receive the corporation\'s message regarding business strategy, promotions and products. The Franchise Director will offer support to franchisees, which will ensure the overall success of the company. As Franchise Director will oversees new franchisees the will also provide training and information on the business policies and procedures. The Franchise Director will be responsible for finding and developing new franchisees for the business.

Primary Objectives:
• Performing analysis and developing action plans,
• Offering meaningful testimonials
• Providing assistance in the growth of annual business plans by conferring between the franchisee and operating partners
• Must ensure the performance of the business plans by coordinating with the company resources
He/she must lead the execution improvement by communicating results of the operating unit\'s progress in a timely and accurate manner
• Implementing, maintaining and managing an efficient system of control throughout the organization
• Maintaining administration, budgeting the company, supervising the company, reporting of all functions of the concerned departments and communication effectively on all company affairs
• Ensure that allowable standards of deals are established by the company

Requirements

• The person must be expert with point of sales systems
• He/she must be proficient in delivering ideas in groups
• The person must have strong analytical skills
• Ability to work collaboratively
• Above average oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop staff members.
• Demonstrated ability to serve as a successful participant on the executive management team that provides company leadership and direction.
• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with the company Board of Directors.
• Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel and skills in database management and record keeping.
• Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
• Excellent organizational skills.

Education and Experience
• Must possess a bachelor\'s degree or any equivalent degree
• Post-graduation in business (MBA, CA or any equivalent) is preferred
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in finance and/or operations
• Ten plus years of progressive leadership experience in franchising positions
• Active affiliation with appropriate franchising networks and organizations and ongoing community involvement, preferred.
• Possess ongoing affiliations with leaders in successful companies and organizations that practice effective Franchising Management.
