Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Responsibility of the Relationship & Compliance Manager is to provide direct operational, business consulting, and marketing support services to assigned franchise partners
• Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies
• Provide collaborative and substantive consulting to maximize sales and profits
• Evaluate the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously
• Revise procedures, reports etc. periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues
• Draft, modify and implement company policies
• Assess the business’s future ventures to identify possible compliance risks
• Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control
• Remain current with all aspects of each franchise partner’s business through regular review of: Comment cards, transaction reports, IT/CRM review, mystery shop reports, etc.
• Compile and submit to the Company and Associate Director regular (monthly and ad hoc) performance reports on each franchise
• Keep current with administrative duties and submit required reports in a timely fashion (calendar management, contact management, expense reports, 1:1 agendas, updates, etc.)
• Types out response on feedback/appraisal questionnaires and submits to the Associate Director;
• Provides schedules of dates for training on a monthly basis in advance;
• Attends daily / weekly meetings with the Associate Director as required; Conducts license meetings;
• Assists in arranging, and presents quarterly meetings; Assists in arranging, and presents strategy meetings/conferences.
• Financial Management - Ensures that all monies due from franchisees, including purchase price instalments, royalties, and other incomes due, are collected timeously;
• Assists the Associate Director with the management of the IT Web strategy and advertising projects; the implementation and management of computerised information systems;
• To effectively deal with all customer complaints received by the Company;
• Reporting to: Associate Director - Head of Operations, Transactional Services

Requirements

• Proven experience as Relationship & Compliance Manager
• In-depth knowledge of the industry’s standards and regulations
• Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping
• A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality
• Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities
• An analytical mind able to “see” the complexities of procedures and regulations
• Excellent communication skills
• Bachelors or related field
• Certified compliance professional is a plus
