Freelancer – Islamic Economy News Aggregator & Social Media Execution

Job description / Role

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Write and post social media messages for three websites (see products list)
- Aggregate and deploy third party Arabic news content for Salaam Gateway
- Liaise with Editors daily to plan, develop and create messages and content for social media
- Handle social media engagement with followers, which includes responding to queries, working with editors and/or marketing team where required
- Working with Editors and Marketing teams to strategise and create social media campaigns
- Tracking social media performance and preparing monthly performance report using Google Analytics

WORK DAYS
Tuesday to Saturday

WORKING HOURS
Flexible
- Up to 8 hours/day
- Mainly covering GCC business hours, +/- 2 hours

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT
English and Arabic (Written)

From home (need own internet connection)

Requirements

- Previous experience handling social media for news & community driven websites
- Experience in driving web traffic via social media and engagement
- Ability to record and report back on social media activity on a monthly basis.
- Experience tracking social media success via tracking parameters and Google Analytics
- Previous experience or knowledge of Islamic finance, halal and Islamic lifestyle an advantage
