Freighter Operations Controller

Job description / Role

Synopsis

To oversee and control the integrity of the freighter operation. Responsible for planning (0-3 days out), communication across all stakeholders, proactive engagement and follow up with the HUB, Network teams and GHA's.

Accountabilities

• 24/7 responsible to drive and improve freighter OTP in a highly challenging environment of the appointed station(s) by fulfilling all tasks associated to ramp coordination/supervision of freighter operations.
• Establish best practices to enable revenue budget achievements and to support service delivery, cost savings and compliance related to safety & security.
• Ensure compliance with all Etihad procedures and regulatory requirements in relation to safety, security and dangerous goods.
• Responsible for service delivery on freighter stations in collaboration with regional and area cargo managers through OTP SGHA/SLA's and KPI/DAP movements.
• Pro-actively communicate to GHA/Area managers on operational matters i.e. AUH HUB, Hub Quality DM, HCC, AOCC, for land connections and stand allocations.
• Pro-active GHA/Area management engagement for preparation and instructions of special loads & high-profile movements.
• Complete daily tasks and ensure all operational requirements are in place by completing the required check sheet for all equine & charter movements (including offline handling setup).
• Special load requests process execution.
• Produce the weekly freighter OTP report and the monthly (freighter) station report.
• Responsible for coordinating the freighter disruption process from an operational perspective.

Education & Experience

• 5 years relevant experience
• Educated to at least high school level, preferably diploma level in logistics, operations and freighter management or related discipline with acquired specialisation in cargo handling operations.
• At least three years of cargo operation experience.
