French Speaking Accountant

Job description / Role

We are currently seeking a fluent French speaking Accountant to join our Chartered Accountancy client in their Dubai offices. Providing a full range of financial services to their international clients they offer a tailor-made approach which supports businesses at every stage of their development cycle.

To be successful in this French speaking Accountancy position you will have a finance or accountancy qualification as well as a minimum of two years within a similar role. UAE experience is not essential, but is viewed as advantageous by our client. You will be able to demonstrate a positive “can-do” attitude and work well in a small team to ensure tight deadlines are achieved in professional manner. Focusing mainly on French organisations and therefore French speaking clients, the successful candidate will be a fluent French speaker (including reading and writing), as you will be corresponding with clients over the telephone and email. A high attention to detail and accuracy is also expected within this role.

Requirements

The role of Accountant will encompass responsibility for all areas of finance, but you will not be directly client facing, as the finance services are provided remotely. Duties will include recording of all invoices and transactions, bank reconciliations and statement of accounts, month and year end accruals and variants, year end balance sheets and annual trial balances, general ledger, cash flow statements, profit and loss balance sheets and VAT calculations. It is also advantageous that candidates are experienced in a varied amount of software as you will be expected to use the same ERP as the client and possess strong excel skills.
