Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Ideal candidate asses Games Systems requirements for the Regional and World Games, Manage the SO Connect LOC requirements in cooperation with SOI (Special Olympics international), lead the project to deploy any necessary changes prior to Games time.

Become an expert user on SO Connect and provide training to all other LOC members, Plan and Manage all Games Systems venue teams and lead all training for all constituents. This is a Technical PM role that will also require a hands-on approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage the roll out of SO Connect in accordance to the requirements from Sports and Volunteers departments.
• Participate in extensive training sessions on SO Connect latest updates including all sports disciplines and Volunteer Management System
• In collaboration with IT Systems infrastructure division, manage and schedule the availability of SO Connect throughout all competition and non-competition venues for both the Regional Games and the World Games
• Develop and implement usage policies of the systems
• Educate, Train and Manage the Games Systems teams (paid, contracted and volunteers)
• In collaboration with SOI plan a secondary system back up with GMS for use throughout the Regional Games to ensure contingency during the live test of SO Connect.
• Produce all necessary documentations for the system’s usage for end users (EN and AR)
• In collaboration with the other departments of technology, ensure that the mission critical systems are always available.
• Collaborate with the Communications 7 Broadcasting departments to ensure that all Athlete and/or other constituent data is available for their communications and/or broadcasting requirements including real-time data feeds on scheduling and results.
• Implement and Manage all necessary AV systems to be used in HQ and in All venues

Requirements

Education and Skills
• Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university in Computing or relevant.
• Technical Skillset to include: DB Management, Cloud, MS Azure,

Languages
• Fluency in English is required.
• Fluency in Arabic is preferred.

Experiences
• 10+ years of post-degree relevant technology experience is recommended.
• 3+ years in a leadership or project management role with technology-focused exposure to major events is recommended.
• Special Olympics / GMS experience is recommended
• Major Multi-Sports / Multi Location events experience recommended.
• Experience managing 7-figure budget recommended.
