Job description / Role
We're looking for an accountant to join one of our clients based in Dubai. You be assisting the team with the day-to-day, monthly, and year-end operations of the Accounting department. You will be reporting to the Head of accounting and will be working closely with a multi cultural team.
• Assisting on maintaining account payables / receivables operations.
• Entering and posting transactions into accounting software.
• Preparing journal entries, keeping the balance sheet up to date and assisting with monthly account closings.
• Assisting on administrating payroll, performing the bank reconciliations.
• Preparing materials necessary to audit process.
• Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve and automate processes within the Accounting department.
• Ensure that the all invoices are booked in the accounting system correctly.
• Prepare and recording of the inter-company debit and credit notes.
• Reconcile the inter-company accounts.
Requirements
• Accounting Degree – B Com or similar.
• 3-5 of experience with a reputed international organization (within Retail, FMCG, Pharma, Consumer Technology) preferably in the UAE.
• Someone who has been part of special project assignments in Accounting and Finance.
• Sound knowledge in different accounting ERPs and Excel.
