General Ledger Accountant

Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Accounting - Responsible for ensuring that all accounting allocations are appropriately recorded and documented.

Activities including:
- Month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing
- Balance sheet and P & L Fluctuation Analysis
- Monthly expense variance analysis
- Manage Fixed Assets
- Balance sheet accounts reconciliations

Internal Controls (SOX)
- Ensure internal controls are established, properly documented, maintained and adhered to.

Audits
- Coordinate financial audits (External Auditors) and SOX Audits (Internal Auditors) provide and implement recommendations for any procedural improvements.

Will need to manage a team of 4 to 5 junior Accountant.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- At least three years general ledger accounting experience is required
- Self-starter and results-oriented individual with the confidence to take risk and partner with business leaders as required.
- High sense of drive and urgency with a positive outlook.
- Ability to analyze and implement problem solving techniques in order to resolve issues and take corrective action.
