AED25-30,000 Per Month

On behalf of our client a Dubai based leading recreational and leisure sports facility that is based in Dubai we are looking to recruit a GM

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Planning - under the Board's auspices, develops effective, short and long range plans to guide the organization's future programs and activities.
• Direct and implement approved strategies and plans that will result in the achievement of the organization's goals and objectives.
• Marketing & Business Development - with the Board and staff, plan and direct the implementation of a comprehensive marketing and business development plan to generate additional revenues for the Franchise.
• Product & Service Development - be the thought leader and change agent in the introduction and development of new product and service offerings in store.

Financial – Enhance current business and develop new business.
• Oversee the development of operating and capital expenditure budgets.
• Ensure that appropriate financial systems and controls are in place.
• Monitor all aspects of financial performance.
• Ensure that the organization operates within budget and available resources.
• Develop and implement action plans as needed to improve financial performance and cost-effectiveness.

Operations – Drive operations to achieve and surpass sales goals, profitability, margin, business goals and objectives.
• Provide administrative direction in terms of operations and programs.
• Oversees all activities; participate in significant decisions.
• Ensure that appropriate policies, procedures, and methods are being utilized.
• See that programs are in line with the stated mission of the organization.
• Ensure that facilities and equipment are maintained in accordance with applicable standards and laws.
• Work to ensure maximum appropriate utilization of facilities and equipment.
• Act as a thought leader advocating and utilizing innovative processes to develop and implement creative strategic solutions for the business.

Communications - ensure that internal communication programs are in place and operating effectively.
• Provide reports and related information as required to the Board, other designated organizations and individuals, and appropriate regulatory agencies.

Technology -partner with internal and external technology resources to enhance the customer experience by delivering best practice results in membership tracking, sales, usage and communications.

Community - responsible for relations with the overall local community being served by the Facility and the general public.
• Assess the needs of these communities and provides leadership in terms of the programs and activities within the purpose of the organization.
• Ensure that community people are involved throughout the organization Board and staff structure. Grow customer base.

Requirements

10+ years’ experience in retail services, entertainment, leisure or fitness industry.

A demonstrated track record of growth and success. specifically, targeting qualified candidates who have assisted growing companies from the ground-up.

Experience in dealing with a highly entrepreneurial and autonomous operating company culture is essential.

This position requires strong influence leadership skills.

Expertise in creating and implementing operational strategies to increase market share, grow membership, revenues and profit.

Experienced in managing a (loyalty based) globally distributed organization comprised of owner operators.

Full P&L responsibility.

Strong command of vendor performance management and contract negotiation & administration.
